Luganeros AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerson Correia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 41 minutes into the game, Dinei Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caatiba MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luganeros AFC the free kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio to strike the kick off in the second half. Fernandinho Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute.
