Hortêncio Hermes might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurențiu Gaciu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hortêncio Hermes ran back to his position shaking his head. 23 minutes into the game, Betinho Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Felipe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ■La■ ■Tristesse■ ■Durera■ the free kick. The supporters of ■La■ ■Tristesse■ ■Durera■ booed when Grêmio Felipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute, Slawomir Turak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Slawomir Turak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Jorginho Quirino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Milosz Budzyn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorginho Quirino. That made the score 0-6 in the 97 minute of play.
