The crowd rose to their feet as Stavros Keratomenos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ercole Domenghini. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Loukas Koubaroulis charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loukas Koubaroulis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, RODOS F.C.'s Loukas Koubaroulis got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Minas Raptis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ercole Domenghini managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when RODOS F.C.'s Stavros Keratomenos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Giannis Xirafis came out of the goal and Zbyszek Galagan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ercole Domenghini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukas Koubaroulis in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Loukas Koubaroulis put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ercole Domenghini. In the 69th minute Stavros Keratomenos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Domenghini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Loukas Koubaroulis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ercole Domenghini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stavros Keratomenos's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. If Charalambos Papatrechas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. RODOS F.C. fully deserved thier win.
