In the 11th match minute, Smiddy Celts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Cullen to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Bruce Reoch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vito Lange. The goal made the score 2-0. 28 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goalkeeper Vito Lange had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Connolly. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Vito Lange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO from getting a goal against them. Vito Lange made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Connolly in the 36th minute. David Connolly took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vito Lange. Vito Lange dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ahmed Sapp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Drew Tobin fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's protests and gave Drew Tobin a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Drew Tobin. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Vito Lange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Wallace in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute David Connolly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Lange saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Eric Wallace made a precise shot to the right of Vito Lange. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 60 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmed Sapp came free, but Ray McLeish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Sapp in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray McLeish saved Smiddy Celts from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Lucas Graham made a precise shot to the right of Vito Lange. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Maurice Yoshioka hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Maurice Yoshioka succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 7-1 in the 79th playminute. In the 83rd minute Eric Wallace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Lange saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drew Tobin to maneuver through the defense. David Connolly might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vito Lange. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Connolly ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the game, Eric Wallace cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Vito Lange was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Connolly hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Smiddy Celts a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruce Reoch, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Vito Lange. 9-1.
