After 13 minutes, Kuncho Alichkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maritza and the Q. T. I. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16thth minute of the game Nestor Chap who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maritza's Vladimir Pushkov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Maritza's Penyo Parlapanov got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Maritza booed when Q. T. In the 56th minute, Delmiro Macerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 minutes of play, Q. T. I.'s Severo Veronica made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Pushkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Vanko Sidov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Txatxu was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Paulo Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vanko Sidov in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Q. T. I. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaudencio Chucho to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Ermegildo Sotil sped through Maritza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimir Pushkov. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimir Pushkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Maritza's Kuncho Alichkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Txatxu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vladimir Pushkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Veronica in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maritza's Dido Dereliev got a free kick in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Q. T. I. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maritza.
