The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Swatar United FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Adrio in the 4th minute of play. David Amato Gauci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Arturo Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Chepe in the 10th minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Adrio took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luiz Alcântara. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of PLUMIN booed when Swatar United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dejan Spiteri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Deunoro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Abela got free with Arturo Gilabert in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Matias Chepe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PLUMIN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 24th minute Matias Chepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes PLUMIN got a freekick which was hit by Martin Enol. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind PLUMIN's goalkeeper Arturo Gilabert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Fidanza in the 37th minute of the match. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Adrio in the 40th minute of play. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Chepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Martin Enol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Swatar United FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Adrio in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Abela to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Enol got free with Sílvio Luiz Alcântara in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arturo Gilabert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Amato Gauci in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Chepe in the 66th minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Enol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara made a huge save. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Chepe in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Chepe in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luiz Alcântara saved Swatar United FC from getting behind. PLUMIN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Octavio Deunoro in the 87th minute. Martin Enol kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Enol in the 91st minute of play forced Swatar United FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Enol to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over PLUMIN could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Swatar United FC throughout the match.
