Gerard Hickman started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Cefero came free, but Marc Hale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toronto Marlies FC's attentive Cyrille Frye managed to snatch the ball when Anastasio Maura made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the game, Marcial Cefero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aves Negras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toronto Marlies FC the free kick. In the 11th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Cefero to maneuver through the defense. When Gerard Hickman fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toronto Marlies FC's protests and gave Gerard Hickman a yellow card for diving instead. Gerard Hickman kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With his leg Edelmiro Martxot managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Toronto Marlies FC's Shelton Labrecque fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 20 minutes into the match, Toronto Marlies FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Bittor came free, but Marc Hale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toronto Marlies FC's Marc Hale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Maura in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pocho Lavezzi to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Shelton Labrecque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Aves Negras's Marcial Cefero in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Toronto Marlies FC's goalie prevented a goal. Marc Hale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcial Cefero's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th match minute, Toronto Marlies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Mosley to maneuver through the defense. Marc Hale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Cefero in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jonas Gregory made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Luisito Errando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aves Negras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toronto Marlies FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Aves Negras's Luisito Errando got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of Toronto Marlies FC booed when Aves Negras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Abaurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shelton Labrecque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Martxot came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Toronto Marlies FC's Gerard Hickman. But to his dismay, Gerard Hickman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Edelmiro Martxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shelton Labrecque, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gerard Hickman kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Aves Negras got a freekick which was hit by Pocho Lavezzi. After a rather tough play, Toronto Marlies FC's Gerard Hickman got a free kick in the 70th minute. Marc Hale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Maura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marc Hale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Gregory in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Pocho Lavezzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edelmiro Martxot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shelton Labrecque went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Marc Hale made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Jonas Gregory sent off a good shot on target. Aves Negras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciro Rameriz in the 91st minute. Joan Hogue tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Marc Hale. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-2 in the 91st minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
