F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Horhoianu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Kenny Gallo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iordache Mihoc in the 19th minute. Pompiliu Niță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodor Tudor's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 22 played minutes F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Dragu. Anton Colin scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pompiliu Niță, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute, Petruț Omescu made a precise shot to the right of Pompiliu Niță. F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Romeo Horhoianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Niță having to interfere. Pompiliu Niță came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by UNIREA FOCSANI's Romeo Horhoianu. But to his dismay, Romeo Horhoianu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 39 minutes, Teodor Tudor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UNIREA FOCSANI and the F.C.IZVOARELE DY-DA -BTF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teodor Tudor kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, UNIREA FOCSANI's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Aldescu came free, but Kenny Gallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Petruț Omescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNIREA FOCSANI's supporters rose to their feet, but Petruț Omescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pompiliu Niță breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Teodor Tudor came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the UNIREA FOCSANI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodor Tudor couldn't finish the play. Kenny Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Aldescu in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 55th minute, one of UNIREA FOCSANI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UNIREA FOCSANI. Liviu Aldescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Gallo having to interfere.
