An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Deighton in the 16th minute of play forced Quimeras Jrs.'s goalkeeper Baldomero Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Toli got free with Christian Wilberforce in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ritchie Deighton in the 23rd minute of play forced Quimeras Jrs.'s goalkeeper Baldomero Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doug Kerfoot scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomero Sayvion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Baldomero Sayvion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tristan Hunt went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Doug Kerfoot came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Stickleback Utd Xl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doug Kerfoot couldn't finish the play. After 41 played minutes Stickleback Utd Xl got a freekick which was hit by Leo Moore. Serafin Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Christian Wilberforce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

57 minutes into the match, Stickleback Utd Xl's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Avellaneda came free, but Christian Wilberforce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute Eugenio Avellaneda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Wilberforce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Quimeras Jrs. booed when Stickleback Utd Xl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stuart Atkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Eugenio Avellaneda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stickleback Utd Xl's Christian Wilberforce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christian Wilberforce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafin Emeterio went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 73rd match minute, Quimeras Jrs. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Emeterio to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Quimeras Jrs. got a freekick which was hit by Serafin Emeterio. Christian Wilberforce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugenio Avellaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stickleback Utd Xl's Christian Wilberforce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Primitivo Toli in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Stickleback Utd Xl's Giles Adamson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomero Sayvion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. 87 minutes into the match, Serafin Emeterio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Wilberforce. Stickleback Utd Xl's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafin Emeterio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 95th minute, Serafin Emeterio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Wilberforce was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-5. The Stickleback Utd Xl supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stickleback Utd Xl would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
