In the 4th minute Gernando Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Errando's late challenge caught a BLACK STAR FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baltasar Errando helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, CANIS LUPUS XTC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Errando to maneuver through the defense. When Wesley Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the BLACK STAR FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Mangueira couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Gernando Ribeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Gaizko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Victorino Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Mangueira in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, BLACK STAR FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gernando Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Gaizko was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the game, Adilson Machado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Victorino Gaizko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luizão Schmidt hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The supporters of CANIS LUPUS XTC booed when BLACK STAR FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes CANIS LUPUS XTC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Guillelmus. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

A collision led to CANIS LUPUS XTC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Urbano Salomone hit a great ball. A hard shot by Wesley Mangueira from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Victorino Gaizko's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 55 minutes into the match, CANIS LUPUS XTC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaizko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Ribeiro. 57 minutes into the game, Fernando Isaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CANIS LUPUS XTC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BLACK STAR FC the free kick. In the 57th match minute, CANIS LUPUS XTC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Isaio to maneuver through the defense. BLACK STAR FC's Wesley Mangueira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Victorino Gaizko but with some difficulty. In the 58th minute, Pastor Dominguez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Robinho de Salles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fernando Isaio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. Fernando Isaio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Wesley Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Victorino Gaizko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BLACK STAR FC. CANIS LUPUS XTC's Victorino Gaizko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Schmidt in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Bertassi in the 84th minute of play forced CANIS LUPUS XTC's goalkeeper Victorino Gaizko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorino Gaizko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robinho de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victorino Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, CANIS LUPUS XTC's Victorino Gaizko got control of the ball when Gernando Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line.
