An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Zdeb in the 9th minute of play forced Mellanström's goalkeeper Karl Kjellberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mellanström's Henrik Gadd got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Silvers Ilkus booed when Mellanström was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Gadd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leszek Cholewa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Wlodzimierz Zdeb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl Kjellberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Mellanström got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Gadd. 26 minutes into the match, Mellanström's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Zdeb came free, but Karl Kjellberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Wlodzimierz Zdeb made a precise shot to the right of Karl Kjellberg. Mellanström's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Mellanström's Karl Kjellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Cholewa in the 37th minute of play. Karl Kjellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patryk Filas, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc Lundgren was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Silvers Ilkus got a freekick which was hit by Pawel Adamczak. Karl Kjellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patryk Filas in the 56th minute of play. Mellanström's Karl Kjellberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Mellanström from getting a goal against them. In the 59th match minute, Silvers Ilkus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klement Szpakowski to maneuver through the defense. Radomil Watarz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marc Lundgren in the 60th minute of play. Silvers Ilkus's Radomil Watarz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Lundgren in the 63rd minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Mellanström's Marc Lundgren tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Henrik Persson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mellanström getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Henrik Persson hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Patryk Filas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th match minute, Mellanström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Olof Isaksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellanström's goalkeeper Karl Kjellberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Silvers Ilkus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patryk Filas to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Mellanström defense, Wlodzimierz Zdeb kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Kjellberg. The Mellanström fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Kjellberg should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Mellanström's zone, Patryk Filas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Kjellberg came out of the goal and Patryk Filas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henrik Gadd's late challenge caught a Silvers Ilkus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Gadd helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mellanström getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Henrik Gadd hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Silvers Ilkus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klement Szpakowski to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, Silvers Ilkus's Wlodzimierz Zdeb sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Kjellberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Silvers Ilkus players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
