Esteve Innocenzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Innocenzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xandro Zubillaga in the 70th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Erdiano Gil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velez Sport Club's Esteve Innocenzio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Velez Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Erdiano Gil came free, but Esteve Innocenzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xandro Zubillaga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Esteve Innocenzio came out and tried to block the shot, but Xandro Zubillaga slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 75th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Esteve Innocenzio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Victorio Baro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gabino Navajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Esteve Innocenzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Feliciano Niguel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Niguel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustau Samano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 played minutes Velez Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Blas Henrico.
