The referee felt a red card was in order, 7 minutes into the game, when Gil Paraíba put in a rough tackle. In the 9th minute of the match Valter Parve shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raphael Furlan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Valdur Hindpere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Oskar Ansip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Mineiro in the 27th minute of play forced Vila's goalkeeper Mihkel Ülipikk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Gerber came free, but Mihkel Ülipikk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 minutes, Lembit Nurmela made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Raphael Furlan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Parve in the 36th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Raphael Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Vila got a freekick which was hit by Priidu Volmer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Gerber in the 49th minute of play forced Vila's goalkeeper Mihkel Ülipikk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Délio Gerber made the kick off in the second half. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Raphael Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lembit Nurmela in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Oskar Ansip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blumenau Esporte Clube the free kick. Andrus Heli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Raphael Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaanek Vaher in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Blumenau Esporte Clube's zone, Lembit Nurmela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael Furlan came out of the goal and Lembit Nurmela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Priidu Volmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskar Ansip was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vila! Valdur Hindpere took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raphael Furlan. Raphael Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Valter Parve fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila's protests and gave Valter Parve a yellow card for diving instead. Mihkel Ülipikk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Mineiro in the 81st minute of play. Raphael Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaanek Vaher in the 84th minute of the match. Raphael Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaanek Vaher, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Vila's Lembit Nurmela got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the game's 94th minute Blumenau Esporte Clube's Ramiro Godoi took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Mihkel Ülipikk and thus the score was 2-1. Vila walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
