The Esparta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Álvaro Morata might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Szczepan Polkoski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Álvaro Morata ran back to his position shaking his head. Ostdorf's Szczepan Polkoski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Morata in the 11th minute of play. Álvaro Morata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Morata in the 16th minute of play forced Ostdorf's goalkeeper Szczepan Polkoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szczepan Polkoski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Álvaro Morata went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Morata in the 29th minute of play forced Ostdorf's goalkeeper Szczepan Polkoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ostdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Morata came free, but Szczepan Polkoski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Szczepan Polkoski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Hulberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Esparta FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olgierd Zawada made a kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Jorge Fidencio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esparta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ostdorf the free kick. Jorge Fidencio hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Olgierd Zawada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Blai hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernabe Hulberto got free with Szczepan Polkoski in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Esparta FC's Celestino Frederik got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute Olgierd Zawada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Iraitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Ostdorf defense, Álvaro Morata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Szczepan Polkoski. The Ostdorf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Szczepan Polkoski should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esparta FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
