The audience was convinced that Devran Ergüden's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrik Fagrell was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After having played for 11 minutes, Karl-Oskar Drake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Axbergs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Oskar Drake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sune Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 12th minute of the match, Sune Göransson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Süleyman Taşkınay saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Patrik Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Buğra Yalkın in the 21st minute of play. Bektaş Ali Tarhun charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bektaş Ali Tarhun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patrik Fagrell came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by BAŞBUĞ's Şadi Rasi. But to his dismay, Şadi Rasi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Devran Ergüden managed to get in a good position for a shot. BAŞBUĞ's supporters rose to their feet, but Devran Ergüden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrik Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Devran Ergüden made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Mustafa Birol Uğurtay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAŞBUĞ and the Axbergs IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BAŞBUĞ getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mustafa Birol Uğurtay hit a great ball. Karl-Oskar Drake succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. 63 minutes into the match, Karl-Oskar Drake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Süleyman Taşkınay. BAŞBUĞ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Oskar Drake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After 67 played minutes Axbergs IF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Torsberg. Egon Åström hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Devran Ergüden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st match minute, Axbergs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Åström to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Karl-Oskar Drake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Süleyman Taşkınay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Axbergs IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while BAŞBUĞ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
