A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. 8 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Beniamin Zywiec came free, but Friðmundur Unnsteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Manchester United defense, Witold Chodzinski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Friðmundur Unnsteinsson. The Manchester United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Friðmundur Unnsteinsson should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Beniamin Zywiec came free, but Friðmundur Unnsteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, KKS Magines's Beniamin Zywiec made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Friðmundur Unnsteinsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When KKS Magines's Beniamin Zywiec in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witold Chodzinski in the 36th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Friðmundur Unnsteinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, KKS Magines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobiasz Zbytniewski to maneuver through the defense. Waldemar Robak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hallgils Ingiþórsson in the 42nd minute. Rafael Sigfastsson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Friðmundur Unnsteinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beniamin Zywiec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Friðmundur Unnsteinsson made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Witold Chodzinski sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Witold Chodzinski sped through Manchester United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Friðmundur Unnsteinsson. Tobiasz Zbytniewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friðmundur Unnsteinsson having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Heiðmundur Sigdórsson. After having played for 66 minutes, Tobiasz Zbytniewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KKS Magines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobiasz Zbytniewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of KKS Magines booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lindar Svanbergsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Beniamin Zywiec dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Friðmundur Unnsteinsson, 0-5. 71 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Beniamin Zywiec came free, but Friðmundur Unnsteinsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rafael Sigfastsson hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Witold Chodzinski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Friðmundur Unnsteinsson. Manchester United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Witold Chodzinski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Manchester United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Beniamin Zywiec scored to the left of an out of position Friðmundur Unnsteinsson, making the score, 0-7. Urðar Ingimarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Waldemar Robak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Witold Chodzinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manchester United's Friðmundur Unnsteinsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester United from getting a goal against them. Beniamin Zywiec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Friðmundur Unnsteinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Manchester United's Friðmundur Unnsteinsson got control of the ball when Grzegorz Michnik tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, KKS Magines's Beniamin Zywiec ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Friðmundur Unnsteinsson. Friðmundur Unnsteinsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. The KKS Magines supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KKS Magines would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
