Spectators: 141 (Terracing: 107, Seating: 32, VIP seats: 2) Mercedario AFC's Adolfo Ovando started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Mercedario AFC's Adolfo Ovando got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Ovando in the 9th minute of play forced Marumby's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Mercedario AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Acosta. In the 16th minute, Gino Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Guilherme dos Santos came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercedario AFC's Eloy Acosta. But to his dismay, Eloy Acosta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Justo Tonio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Eloy Acosta sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Mercedario AFC were awarded a corner. Adolfo Ovando went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 33 minutes, Marcos de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marumby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gino Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Garcia having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Berriotxoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Leonel Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Mercedario AFC's Leonel Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Gonçalves in the 46th minute of play. Mercedario AFC's Leonel Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Mercedario AFC from getting a goal against them. When Salvador Berriotxoa fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercedario AFC's protests and gave Salvador Berriotxoa a yellow card for diving instead. Salvador Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Ovando in the 55th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Eloy Acosta notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Marumby's Luiz Guilherme dos Santos. Luiz Guilherme dos Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leonel Garcia made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Dudu Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Gonçalves got free with Leonel Garcia in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcos de Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mercedario AFC booed when Marumby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Leonel Garcia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 89 minutes into the match, Mercedario AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Gonçalves came free, but Leonel Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Mandrak in the 93rd minute. Marumby's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
