With an all-out effort, BlacK & BlueS's Gaizka Mora threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Juninho Mineiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Clemente de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesario Quevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of BlacK & BlueS booed when F.C. BARCELONA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruperto Lillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Juninho Mineiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaizka Mora. The goal made the score 3-0. When Hélio Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the BlacK & BlueS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. Hélio Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho Mineiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Nóbrega in the 51st minute of play forced F.C. BARCELONA's goalkeeper Gaizka Mora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mancio Ballesteros managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. BARCELONA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mancio Ballesteros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho Mineiro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaizka Mora. BARCELONA's zone, Hélio Nóbrega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaizka Mora came out of the goal and Hélio Nóbrega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 minutes, Juninho Mineiro made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. F.C. BARCELONA's Gaizka Mora tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hélio Nóbrega took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaizka Mora. Gaizka Mora dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. BARCELONA's goalkeeper Gaizka Mora, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mancio Ballesteros's late challenge caught a BlacK & BlueS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mancio Ballesteros helped the player get up and apologised. Mancio Ballesteros kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Hélio Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Gaizka Mora didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BlacK & BlueS. Kléberson Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gaizka Mora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rony Braga during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BlacK & BlueS had played much better football throughout.
