The audience was convinced that Unai Calatayud's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aureliusz Kolba was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Aureliusz Kolba came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Ourense's Unai Calatayud. But to his dismay, Unai Calatayud quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC Elbląg's zone, Unai Calatayud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliusz Kolba came out of the goal and Unai Calatayud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pankracy Pieknik hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Unai Calatayud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliusz Kolba. 1 FC Elbląg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Unai Calatayud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Unai Calatayud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Atlético Ourense booed when 1 FC Elbląg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lech Buda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th match minute, 1 FC Elbląg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Setara to maneuver through the defense. When Olgierd Setara fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1 FC Elbląg's protests and gave Olgierd Setara a yellow card for diving instead. Jerrold Valcarcel had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Wincent Charlos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

In the 51st match minute, Atlético Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mino Borrás to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Unai Calatayud in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aureliusz Kolba saved 1 FC Elbląg from getting behind. After 61 minutes, Rogelio Verdaguer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Ourense and the 1 FC Elbląg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st minute of the game Tomasz Rzegotka made a throw-in which Milosz Trynda played forward. Tomasz Rzegotka made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pankracy Pieknik. After 95 played minutes Atlético Ourense got a freekick which was hit by Unai Calatayud. Atlético Ourense's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
