The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Jurassic Monsters SA booed when La Mandarina Mecánica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gombal Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Perico Abellaneda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guga Paes. In the 15th match minute, La Mandarina Mecánica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txilar Abeita to maneuver through the defense. Denílson Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txilar Abeita in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Josué Penha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Perico Abellaneda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gombal Abechuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Denílson Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Josué Penha fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jurassic Monsters SA's protests and gave Josué Penha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Jurassic Monsters SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Penha to maneuver through the defense. La Mandarina Mecánica's Perico Abellaneda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Bezerra in the 40th minute of play. Guga Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Perico Abellaneda made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Jurassic Monsters SA's Josué Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Perico Abellaneda. That made the score 2-0 after 48 minutes of play.

If Valdo Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Penha in the 60th minute of play forced La Mandarina Mecánica's goalkeeper Perico Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perico Abellaneda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perico Abellaneda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Bezerra in the 68th minute of play. Aírton Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perico Abellaneda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aírton Bezerra ran back to his position shaking his head. Jurassic Monsters SA were furious when Gino Leite was red carded, 81 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Jurassic Monsters SA's Gino Leite got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Gombal Abechuco managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Mandarina Mecánica's supporters rose to their feet, but Gombal Abechuco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jurassic Monsters SA's Denílson Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Txilar Abeita in the 87th minute of play. When Josué Penha came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Jurassic Monsters SA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Penha couldn't finish the play. Josué Penha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jurassic Monsters SA fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Mandarina Mecánica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
