The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kevin Kivaste showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kareem Richter in the 3rd minute of the match. When Lamar Anderson came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Virga City Vipers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lamar Anderson couldn't finish the play. When Edvin Ülavere fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drunken Sea Monkeys's protests and gave Edvin Ülavere a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Drunken Sea Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Ülavere. If Kareem Richter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Virga City Vipers's Bennett Haas got a free kick in the 21st minute. 30 minutes into the match, Drunken Sea Monkeys's goal looked a bit too open when Kareem Richter came free, but Kevin Kivaste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kareem Richter took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Kivaste. Kevin Kivaste dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 44th minute, Kareem Richter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevin Kivaste was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Kareem Richter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virga City Vipers's supporters rose to their feet, but Kareem Richter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Kivaste breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Drunken Sea Monkeys players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Virga City Vipers were winning 0-3.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lamar Anderson during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Virga City Vipers getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lamar Anderson hit a great ball. Bennett Haas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Aimar Maasar struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bernardo Lynch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drunken Sea Monkeys. Bernardo Lynch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antti Ariva's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Virga City Vipers's Bernardo Lynch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antti Ariva in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Drunken Sea Monkeys getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hardo Leinatamm hit a great ball. Bernardo Lynch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antti Ariva in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Virga City Vipers's Chase Harrington got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th match minute, Drunken Sea Monkeys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvin Ülavere to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kareem Richter in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Kivaste saved Drunken Sea Monkeys from getting behind. With a little luck, Drunken Sea Monkeys's Kevin Kivaste got control of the ball when Kareem Richter tried to sneak it across the goal line.
