The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Júlio Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Gejda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Recife might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franciszek Gejda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Recife ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the match, Renan Alcântara notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of KSF Racovia Częstochowa's Franciszek Gejda. Franciszek Gejda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomasz Fujara kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Júlio Andrade took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franciszek Gejda. Franciszek Gejda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Júlio Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Franciszek Gejda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the KSF Racovia Częstochowa defense, Cristiano Recife kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franciszek Gejda. The KSF Racovia Częstochowa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franciszek Gejda should have stopped the shot. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grêmio Prudente! 29 minutes into the match, KSF Racovia Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Andrade came free, but Franciszek Gejda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Napoleon Kolano hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Renan Alcântara notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of KSF Racovia Częstochowa's Franciszek Gejda. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomasz Fujara made a kick off. Kléber de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomasz Fujara in the 51st minute of the match. Franciszek Gejda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renan Alcântara got free with Franciszek Gejda in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, KSF Racovia Częstochowa's Gwidon Juszkowski got a free kick in the 59th minute. Renan Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franciszek Gejda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. KSF Racovia Częstochowa's Kajetan Kaminski got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of KSF Racovia Częstochowa booed when Grêmio Prudente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Napoleon Kolano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kléber de Souza. Grêmio Prudente's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Robert Wallach hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Kléber de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Fujara in the 78th minute of play. Gwidon Juszkowski charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gwidon Juszkowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Josué Batista sped through KSF Racovia Częstochowa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Franciszek Gejda. 91 minutes into the game, Júlio Andrade recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Franciszek Gejda. Júlio Andrade showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. In the 94th minute of the match, Renan Alcântara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Franciszek Gejda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Grêmio Prudente's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
