The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Segelbut IF's Alexander Krantz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 7 minutes into the match, Mark Lennartsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of All Stars Gent's Yvan Poets. Yvan Poets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for All Stars Gent! Yvan Poets had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabian Lilja's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Yvan Poets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rasmus Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philip Målare made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jesus Van Meenen sent off a good shot on target. If Theo Vandendriessche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yvan Poets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasmus Strömberg in the 26th minute of the match. Yvan Poets took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Åkesson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, All Stars Gent's Jesucristo Van Meenen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Philip Målare. Philip Målare yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Theo Vandendriessche's late challenge caught a Segelbut IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Theo Vandendriessche helped the player get up and apologised. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabian Lilja made a kick off. Estevan Meenen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Målare having to interfere. After 53 played minutes All Stars Gent got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Van Meenen. Yvan Poets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasmus Strömberg in the 55th minute of the match. Yvan Poets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Strömberg in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Rasmus Strömberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Yvan Poets was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
