The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brys Mintmaster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Brys Mintmaster managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swansea University F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Brys Mintmaster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viktor Botvidsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Swansea University F.C booed when IFK Bovall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Ingvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brys Mintmaster, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Cynbal Large charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cynbal Large the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of IFK Bovall booed when Swansea University F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cynbal Large didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alfons Pettersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Bovall's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfons Pettersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Llyn Whitesmith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Swansea University F.C booed when IFK Bovall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Ahlrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Llyn Whitesmith made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Pettersson in the 21st minute of play. Swansea University F.C were furious when Sayer Hillier was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 30th minute, Sayer Hillier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. IFK Bovall's Viktor Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bowen Ritter in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Roger Jonsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Bovall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swansea University F.C the free kick. Viktor Botvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bowen Ritter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bowen Ritter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rhain Lewis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bowen Ritter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Bowen Ritter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Swansea University F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bowen Ritter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Rhain Lewis came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Swansea University F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rhain Lewis couldn't finish the play. Rhain Lewis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Viktor Botvidsson made a huge save. The supporters of Swansea University F.C booed when IFK Bovall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Ingvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Brys Mintmaster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Botvidsson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 68 minutes, Clud Argyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swansea University F.C and the IFK Bovall players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Swansea University F.C got a freekick which was hit by Clud Argyle. Karl-Åke Pilgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Llyn Whitesmith. Swansea University F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Torbjörn Ahlrot shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Llyn Whitesmith showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Swansea University F.C's Bowen Ritter got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clud Argyle in the 82nd minute of play forced IFK Bovall's goalkeeper Viktor Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clud Argyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Botvidsson having to interfere. Chants of Swansea University F.C echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as IFK Bovall had held the ball for most of the match.
