When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Lei Yan Zhan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juvenal Viveiros. In the 21st minute, Gabriel Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the game, Gabriel Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Gallos the free kick. After 27 played minutes AD Pontassolense got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Andrade. Guilherme Valério received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Anacleto Horado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lei Yan Zhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Juvenal Viveiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AD Pontassolense booed when Los Gallos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Gabriel Andrade was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Gabriel Andrade hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Lei Yan Zhan took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal Viveiros. Juvenal Viveiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Darijo Srna got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vladimiro Jerold was the one to do the kick off. Juvenal Viveiros was a little too slow when Lei Yan Zhan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-3. 54 minutes into the match, Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Viveiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Lei Yan Zhan notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros. Juvenal Viveiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Los Gallos booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herberto Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Viveiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vladimiro Jerold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juvenal Viveiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Vladimiro Jerold could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Juvenal Viveiros made a huge save. When Lei Yan Zhan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 87 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Juvenal Viveiros was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them. The AD Pontassolense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Los Gallos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
