The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobias Faro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Gabriel Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. Social y Dep. Patagonia's Iker Osorio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Juvenal Viveiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Renato Mac Clure's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Viveiros was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Tobias Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veríssimo Gameiro in the 25th minute of play. Juvenal Viveiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Nélson Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AD Pontassolense and the Social y Dep. Patagonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, one of AD Pontassolense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AD Pontassolense. Juvenal Viveiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Viveiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Mac Clure in the 37th minute of the match. If Lorenzo Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 46 minutes into the game, Veríssimo Gameiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Pontassolense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social y Dep. Patagonia the free kick. The supporters of Social y Dep. Patagonia booed when AD Pontassolense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veríssimo Gameiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Social y Dep. Patagonia were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Rosas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Social y Dep. Patagonia defense, Guilherme Valério kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobias Faro. The Social y Dep. Patagonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Faro should have stopped the shot. Tobias Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Valério, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lino Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Juvenal Viveiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Renato Mac Clure got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lorenzo Rosas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juvenal Viveiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Lorenzo Rosas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 62nd minute. Lorenzo Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, AD Pontassolense's Juvenal Viveiros got control of the ball when Lorenzo Rosas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Renato Mac Clure took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Juvenal Viveiros to make any attempt to save it. Social y Dep. Patagonia's Tobias Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Valério in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Juvenal Viveiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lorenzo Rosas. Lázaro Gau kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Tobias Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Meireles in the 97th minute of play. The AD Pontassolense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Social y Dep. Patagonia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
