Marcel Iulian helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Santul FC's Marcel Iulian got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Marcel Iulian notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of U 1974's Cătălin Agusoaei. Cătălin Agusoaei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A well placed Petru Siadbei short distance shot in the 11th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After 16th play minutes Marcel Iulian shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Cătălin Agusoaei and just under the crossbar into goal. The supporters of U 1974 booed when Santul FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Iliescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute Mihail Goicea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Agusoaei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cătălin Agusoaei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Burileanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Iulian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cătălin Agusoaei having to make a save. U 1974's Cătălin Agusoaei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Jurcuț in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Eugen Jurcuț notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of U 1974's Cătălin Agusoaei. Cătălin Agusoaei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vlad Bleoancă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Bianu having to interfere. U 1974's Cătălin Agusoaei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Burileanu in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel Iulian to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Marcel Iulian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Iulian kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes U 1974 got a freekick which was hit by Nae Iovanovici. Teodor Burileanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cătălin Agusoaei having to make a save. Santul FC's Sever Bianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Siadbei in the 68th minute of play. Eugen Jurcuț hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. U 1974's Remus Cernat was substituted for Vlad Bleoancă. Eugen Jurcuț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Cătălin Agusoaei made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Petru Siadbei managed to get in a good position for a shot. U 1974's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Siadbei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Bianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Cernat in the 91st minute of play forced Santul FC's goalkeeper Sever Bianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Petru Siadbei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Ştefănuţ struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sever Bianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U 1974.
