In the 20th minute Vlad Bleoancă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Lawrence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for POCASPULGAS! In the 27th minute, Vlad Bleoancă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Narcis Ştefănuţ fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U 1974's protests and gave Narcis Ştefănuţ a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, one of POCASPULGAS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for POCASPULGAS. In the 41st minute there was a penalty for U 1974. Irinel Stoian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Domingo Lawrence. 2-1. U 1974's Narcis Ştefănuţ got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Narcis Ştefănuţ off the ground. After a rather tough play, U 1974's Narcis Ştefănuţ got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The POCASPULGAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Lawrence should have stopped the shot. Domingo Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Siadbei, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Stoian in the 88th minute of play forced POCASPULGAS's goalkeeper Domingo Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Stoian in the 90th minute of play. Domingo Lawrence took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Stoian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remus Cernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, POCASPULGAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U 1974 had won after a very even match.
