Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento de Resistencia from getting a goal against them. Sarmiento de Resistencia were furious when Aaron Sarmiento was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Sarmiento de Resistencia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nacional:s goal. The goalkeeper, Bernabe George, was totally fooled by Nacional's Marcelo Obana, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 15 minutes into the game, Romulo Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Demesio Verdeja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bernabe George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Soldevila in the 20th minute of the match. Marcelo Obana succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 21st playminute. 23 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goalkeeper Bernabe George had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Inverso. After 24 minutes of play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Esteban Lucian made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Demesio Verdeja was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 31 minutes, Romulo Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Sarmiento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Obana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernabe George having to make a save. Bernabe George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Obana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Hector Sarmiento. Marcelo Obana, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Sarmiento de Resistencia getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Hector Sarmiento hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. Bernabe George was a little too slow when Marcelo Obana got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romulo Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Bernabe George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Obana in the 54th minute of the match. Esteban Lucian hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Joel Soldevila notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Sarmiento de Resistencia's Bernabe George. Bernabe George was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, Sarmiento de Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Obana came free, but Bernabe George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Joel Soldevila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernabe George was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. In the 65th minute, Marcelo Obana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Joel Soldevila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romulo Sarmientos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Demesio Verdeja to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Nacional booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gorka Vialpando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bernabe George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6-3 became the score in the 84th minute when Esteban Lucian elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bernabe George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Obana, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Marcelo Obana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-3. Bernabe George was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
