Frank Di Giandomenico made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Onas in the 2nd minute. Frank Di Giandomenico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alda Abelaira in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, NewDip F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emirares Bastos came free, but Frank Di Giandomenico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Emirares Bastos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Di Giandomenico. NewDip F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emirares Bastos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some careless play in the Recreativo FC® defense, Antonio Tripodi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Malheiro. The Recreativo FC® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Malheiro should have stopped the shot. A collision led to NewDip F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Biagio Fortunato hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in NewDip F.C.'s zone, Emirares Bastos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Di Giandomenico came out of the goal and Emirares Bastos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Emirares Bastos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Frank Di Giandomenico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Recreativo FC®'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alão Malheiro in the 36th minute. A nice corner shot did that Alão Malheiro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frank Di Giandomenico quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frank Di Giandomenico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emirares Bastos's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Alda Abelaira took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Frank Di Giandomenico to make any attempt to save it. NewDip F.C.'s Frank Di Giandomenico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Onas in the 45th minute of play. Rodrigo Malheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Tripodi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Emirares Bastos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frank Di Giandomenico, 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emirares Bastos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, NewDip F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emirares Bastos came free, but Frank Di Giandomenico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to NewDip F.C. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Federico Maldini hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Alão Malheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recreativo FC®'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alão Malheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rodrigo Onas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alda Abelaira scored 5-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Di Giandomenico, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florian Cammarota received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodrigo Malheiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Florian Cammarota slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Rolando Canales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of NewDip F.C. booed when Recreativo FC® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Canales didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dennis De Angelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79thth minute of the game Emirares Bastos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NewDip F.C.'s Frank Di Giandomenico was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Dennis De Angelis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodrigo Malheiro. Dennis De Angelis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-3. Paulo Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Recreativo FC® booed when NewDip F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Biagio Fortunato didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, NewDip F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emirares Bastos came free, but Frank Di Giandomenico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Di Giandomenico came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Recreativo FC®'s Emirares Bastos. But to his dismay, Emirares Bastos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-3. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind NewDip F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Di Giandomenico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alda Abelaira in the 97th minute of play forced NewDip F.C.'s goalkeeper Frank Di Giandomenico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the NewDip F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Recreativo FC®.
