Gustavo Unai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Yañez's late challenge caught a Troncos for ever FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Yañez helped the player get up and apologised. Fabricio Vedeja scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Unai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Unai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Vedeja in the 16th minute of the match. Fabricio Vedeja scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Unai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Troncos for ever FC defense, Fabricio Vedeja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Unai. The Troncos for ever FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Unai should have stopped the shot. Gustavo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Navedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The corner ended in Justavino Centeno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Troncos for ever FC's Gustavo Unai did a great save. Gustavo Unai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabricio Vedeja's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabricio Vedeja in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Unai saved Troncos for ever FC from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Troncos for ever FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Vedeja came free, but Gustavo Unai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remigio Enetz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Fabricio Vedeja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gustavo Unai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabricio Vedeja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Loja S.C. booed when Troncos for ever FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Sabin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Gudesteo took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Unai. Gustavo Unai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Gustavo Unai made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Fabricio Vedeja sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Xarles Barrieta hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Victoro Rayon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Loja S.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Troncos for ever FC throughout the match.
