Geoff Vassell started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Keiran Woodyat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dakar Olympique's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.S. Ian Fenomeni the free kick. After a rather tough play, Dakar Olympique's Keiran Woodyat got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Di Giambattista in the 9th minute of play forced Dakar Olympique's goalkeeper Rueben Wildman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Claudio Francescoli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rueben Wildman. Claudio Francescoli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Lee Hislop notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Elia Ciscato. Elia Ciscato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Elia Ciscato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoff Vassell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elia Ciscato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme Tinker in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Di Giambattista in the 31st minute of play forced Dakar Olympique's goalkeeper Rueben Wildman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gareth Shipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matty Dowrick during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when Dakar Olympique was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matty Dowrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beppe Di Giambattista struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Rueben Wildman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.S. Ian Fenomeni. Rueben Wildman made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cristoforo Negri sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geoff Vassell in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elia Ciscato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dakar Olympique were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matty Dowrick took the corner. When Kris Upson fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dakar Olympique's protests and gave Kris Upson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dakar Olympique getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kris Upson hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Cristoforo Negri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rueben Wildman. Cristoforo Negri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The supporters of Dakar Olympique booed when A.S. Ian Fenomeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edoardo Pelati didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Matty Dowrick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Elia Ciscato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Ian Fenomeni from getting a goal against them. Elia Ciscato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoff Vassell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Alessio Cinalli got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matty Dowrick got free with Elia Ciscato in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, Geoff Vassell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to A.S. Ian Fenomeni getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Beppe Di Giambattista hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dakar Olympique players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for A.S. Ian Fenomeni.
