The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Slawomir Cholewa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaby Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gaby Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Don Malbec's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaby Batistuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Slawomir Cholewa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Astudillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominik Sowa in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes in the game, Dominik Sowa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominik Sowa, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Slawomir Cholewa made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Pastor Celipe sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the game, one of Astral:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gaby Batistuta took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Slawomir Cholewa. Slawomir Cholewa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Gaby Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Slawomir Cholewa was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Pastor Celipe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Don Malbec's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Celipe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Slawomir Cholewa came out of the goal and Gaby Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaby Batistuta in the 43rd minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Slawomir Cholewa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Pastor Celipe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Don Malbec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astral the free kick. Pastor Celipe hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Slawomir Cholewa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaby Batistuta in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Teofil Tyskie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Aurelio Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Astral getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Teofil Tyskie hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Julian Distiratsu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Slawomir Cholewa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lech Spychalski in the 60th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pastor Celipe in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slawomir Cholewa saved Astral from getting behind. Piotr Osikowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astral! In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Don Malbec. Gaby Batistuta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Slawomir Cholewa. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaby Batistuta in the 81st minute of play forced Astral's goalkeeper Slawomir Cholewa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pastor Celipe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Sowa kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmund Rzeszutko during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astral! Slawomir Cholewa had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Gaby Batistuta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Slawomir Cholewa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaby Batistuta in the 95th minute of play. Gaby Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Slawomir Cholewa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaby Batistuta in the 99th minute of the match.
