After taking down the ball on Don Malbec's corner Julian Distiratsu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bruno Esquipula quite easily take care of the ball. Higinio Anaya's late challenge caught a Don Malbec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Higinio Anaya helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Pastor Celipe made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Esquipula. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Cornelio Eskuin in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Don Malbec's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Don Malbec booed when Cantera Leales Sin Pagar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pastor Celipe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Esquipula having to make a save. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Gaby Batistuta scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Esquipula, making the score, 3-0. A collision led to Don Malbec getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Elmas Veloz hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Eskuin came free, but Aurelio Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Camilo Sexto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruno Esquipula. Camilo Sexto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Gaby Batistuta scored 5-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Esquipula, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Don Malbec got a freekick which was hit by Elmas Veloz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaby Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaby Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Bruno Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Celipe in the 62nd minute of play. During the 63rd minute of the match Higinio Anaya completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Higinio Anaya a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Higinio Anaya kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Leo Panpili charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leo Panpili the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 68 played minutes Cantera Leales Sin Pagar got a freekick which was hit by Leo Panpili. 71 minutes into the game, Camilo Sexto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Bruno Esquipula was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Cantera Leales Sin Pagar defense, Camilo Sexto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Esquipula. The Cantera Leales Sin Pagar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Esquipula should have stopped the shot. Cantera Leales Sin Pagar's Bruno Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaby Batistuta in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Gaby Batistuta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Esquipula was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Gaby Batistuta kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Gaby Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Don Malbec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaby Batistuta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Don Malbec's Pastor Celipe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Esquipula made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. When the referee ended the match the Don Malbec players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
