That made the score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ's goalkeeper Jânio Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Francesco. When Paul-Henri Maldini fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enhebrator FC's protests and gave Paul-Henri Maldini a yellow card for diving instead. Vicente Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jânio Esteves made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Vicente Francesco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jânio Esteves was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Vicente Francesco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Enhebrator FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Francesco to make the kick off.
