The Kuva-yi Milliye fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Kuva-yi Milliye's Akil Yıldız looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Adrian Dimmock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hakkı Sayyad got free with Tim Johnstone in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aybar Cebir, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of The Tigers booed when Kuva-yi Milliye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Sayyad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Kuva-yi Milliye's Nafiz Yiğithan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Batıhan Alatay came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Kuva-yi Milliye's Hakkı Sayyad made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Johnstone was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Akil Yıldız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Johnstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Johnstone was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Akil Yıldız capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Akil Yıldız really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Batıhan Alatay got free with Tim Johnstone in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 40 minutes on the clock, Darius Hamer commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 41st match minute, The Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darius Hamer to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Kuva-yi Milliye's Abdurrezzak Orkan tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hakkı Sayyads short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Tim Johnstone to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Rhys Briggs hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. The Tigers's Tim Johnstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Sayyad in the 54th minute of play. Tim Johnstone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Sayyad in the 57th minute of play. Tim Johnstone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akil Yıldız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batıhan Alatay in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Johnstone prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Legzdins in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wieslaw Kazczyk saved Kuva-yi Milliye from getting behind. A collision led to The Tigers getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leo Legzdins hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Akil Yıldız in the 69th minute of play forced The Tigers's goalkeeper Tim Johnstone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Johnstone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdurrezzak Orkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Roger Hook kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Tim Johnstone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Akil Yıldız in the 74th minute of play. The Tigers's Tim Johnstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Ali Hakim in the 78th minute of play. The referee ignored The Tigers's protests and gave Roger Hook a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to The Tigers getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Roger Hook hit a great ball. Hakkı Sayyad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Johnstone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
