Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Palluzzi in the 3rd minute of play forced C.A.Guimarães's goalkeeper Sílvio Couto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Marcelo das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Immanuel Rusterholz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Sílvio Couto made a huge save. Sílvio Couto was a little too slow when Alex Kretz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Ray Phaneuf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A.Guimarães's Gil Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Luis Palluzzi in the 29th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Sílvio Couto kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After having played for 45 minutes, Luis Palluzzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemmersbacher SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Palluzzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from eAntonio Jetté in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Palluzzi to make the kick off. A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Júlio Vasconcelos with Benê Lago as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alex Kretz might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Kretz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, C.A.Guimarães's Zé Paulo Furtado got a free kick in the 58th minute. Luis Palluzzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warren Dutzler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benê Lago in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Serginho Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 65 minutes of play, Hemmersbacher SV's Alex Kretz made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Guimarães's zone, Alex Kretz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Couto came out of the goal and Alex Kretz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 minutes of play, Hemmersbacher SV's Immanuel Rusterholz made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sílvio Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from eAntonio Jetté went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of C.A.Guimarães booed when Hemmersbacher SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. eAntonio Jetté didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hemmersbacher SV's Warren Dutzler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Hemmersbacher SV from getting a goal against them.
