The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Don Cuca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BumboTava fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Peristasi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Don Cuca came free, but Thomas Kortzidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Don Cuca hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of Peristasi FC booed when BumboTava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vairis Lēlis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guntis Trapāns's late challenge caught a Peristasi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guntis Trapāns helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Peristasi FC booed when BumboTava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guntis Trapāns didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vairis Lēlis in the 20th minute of play forced Peristasi FC's goalkeeper Thomas Kortzidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Don Cuca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Kortzidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Nontas Vazakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peristasi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BumboTava the free kick. The supporters of BumboTava booed when Peristasi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nontas Vazakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. BumboTava's Zigrīds Paupers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save BumboTava from getting a goal against them. The supporters of BumboTava booed when Peristasi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Kokkalas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Papagiannoulis got free with Zigrīds Paupers in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zigrīds Paupers came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Peristasi FC's Alexis Papagiannoulis. But to his dismay, Alexis Papagiannoulis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristiāns Dizenbergs in the 40th minute of play forced Peristasi FC's goalkeeper Thomas Kortzidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexis Papagiannoulis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Zigrīds Paupers made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Kristiāns Dizenbergs managed to get in a good position for a shot. BumboTava's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristiāns Dizenbergs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Kortzidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Don Cuca came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the BumboTava fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Cuca couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zisis Galinos was the one to do the kick off. The BumboTava fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when BumboTava's Kristiāns Dizenbergs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute, Kristiāns Dizenbergs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zisis Galinos in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zigrīds Paupers saved BumboTava from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Don Cuca kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thomas Kortzidis. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Alexis Papagiannoulis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Zigrīds Paupers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thomas Kortzidis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Don Cuca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 69 minute of play. Kristiāns Dizenbergss short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Thomas Kortzidis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Peristasi FC's Babbis Katevatis got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Peristasi FC's Thomas Kortzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Don Cuca in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Don Cuca in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Kortzidis saved Peristasi FC from getting behind. Kristiāns Dizenbergs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Kortzidis having to interfere. Nontas Vazakos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Kristiāns Dizenbergs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Kortzidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. After a rather tough play, BumboTava's Vairis Lēlis got a free kick in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Zisis Galinos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zigrīds Paupers was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peristasi FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
