Darwin Saville FC's Philip Powderham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Darwin Saville FC from getting a goal against them. A.C. Milan's Sandu Silişteanu got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Philip Powderham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Raţiu. Philip Powderham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Raţiu in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Darwin Saville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randall Rummens to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Darwin Saville FC's Philip Powderham got control of the ball when Robert Trifănucă tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 26 minutes of play, Darwin Saville FC's Carter Boyd made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Voican was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sandu Silişteanu took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Powderham. Philip Powderham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Raţiu was the one to do the kick off. The corner led A.C. Milan's Sandu Silişteanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Philip Powderham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 54th minute, Ionică Enceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A.C. In the 65th minute, Alex Raţiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Powderham was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Philip Powderham was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Ionică Enceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.C. Milan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
