The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seraċini Għawdxin's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Tanner in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ★ Lobos FC ★'s Eumaios Zorbas got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Fernando Negro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ★ Lobos FC ★'s Svante Valrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando Negro might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svante Valrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Negro ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, ★ Lobos FC ★'s goalkeeper Svante Valrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Negro. ★ Lobos FC ★'s Svante Valrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Wei Yun in the 14th minute of play. Misael Sigaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ján Oblak having to interfere. Seraċini Għawdxin's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Misael Sigaran in the 18th minute of play. Owen Grech Cumbo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Valrot having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Jacobo Erasto in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Svante Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Griffin in the 27th minute of the match. Seraċini Għawdxin's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Erasto in the 29th minute of play. Fernando Negro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Svante Valrot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Steven Tanner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ján Oblak having to make a save. Ján Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Tanner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ★ Lobos FC ★ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Eumaios Zorbas hit a great ball. Fernando Negro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Svante Valrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Negro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Neil Degabriele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacobo Erasto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Steven Tanner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Owen Grech Cumbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Svante Valrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Grech Cumbo in the 57th minute of the match. Fernando Negro made a great header on Seraċini Għawdxin's corner, it was just that ★ Lobos FC ★'s Svante Valrot managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Tanner got free with Ján Oblak in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svante Valrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ★ Lobos FC ★ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Felíx Felix hit a great ball. After 79 minutes of play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Song Wei Yun made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Svante Valrot was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pablo Leguizamon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Gutierrez made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Misael Sigaran however managed to control. When Owen Grech Cumbo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Grech Cumbo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when ★ Lobos FC ★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wu Zhen Yong didn't get a good kick on the ball. ★ Lobos FC ★'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
