Kaan Winter came out of the goal and Alejo Veliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. John Dahlquist hit a great ball. Patrick Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from György Szekeres, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After the first half STORM CORNER F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Ove Söderström to make the kick off. Patrick Eliasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from György Szekeres, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that György Szekeres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Eliasson was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gnesta Oilers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ionuț Jităreanu was slow to take the kick. During this time STORM CORNER F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Ionuț Jităreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Patrick Eliasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ede Szász in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Eliasson saved Gnesta Oilers from getting behind. A sloppy throw-in by Cornelio Pacifico in the 77th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gnesta Oilers's Alfred Liljeström. 78 minutes into the game, Alejo Veliz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kaan Winter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 80 minutes, Dave Mathy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gnesta Oilers and the STORM CORNER F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Dave Mathy. After 82 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by John Dahlquist. The long shot by Ionuț Jităreanu in the 83rd minute really tested Patrick Eliasson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 89 minutes Gnesta Oilers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ionuț Jităreanu who took care of the corner kick. STORM CORNER F.C.'s Ionuț Jităreanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Patrick Eliasson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Alejo Veliz fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gnesta Oilers's protests and gave Alejo Veliz a yellow card for diving instead. When the match was over STORM CORNER F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gnesta Oilers throughout the match.
