Sulo Montaña's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rhys Dimmock firmly grabbed it by the left post. George Buturugã showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Lane, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Sulo Montaña recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rhys Dimmock. Sulo Montaña showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After 32 minutes Zamalek FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ahmet Hamdi Ortan who took care of the corner kick. In the 34th minute Sulo Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergey Krasinskiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Zack Grier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Buturugã showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Lane in the 46th minute of the match. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Lane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sulo Montaña to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Zack Grier got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulo Montaña in the 53rd minute of play. Rhys Dimmock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Cahit Gökdoğan, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 68th minute of the match LOI got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Hamdi Ortan ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ahmet Hamdi Ortan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rhys Dimmock quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Montaña in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Özgür Özbay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Stăniloaie hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Özbay in the 76th minute of play.
