David Rotariu came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Zamalek FC's Leonardo Lane. But to his dismay, Leonardo Lane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sergey Krasinskiy hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Zvonimir Prestin sent off a good shot on target. David Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Kirkpatrick in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of PoWer SC 2K5 booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Schukin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Kirkpatrick came free, but David Rotariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by PoWer SC 2K5's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonardo Lane was slow to take the kick. During this time Zamalek FC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Mugurel Balaeț hit a great ball. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Wagner in the 21st minute of the match. Zvonimir Prestin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Zamalek FC's Rhys Dimmock got control of the ball when Leon Matthäus tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Fred Kirkpatrick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zamalek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Kirkpatrick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rotariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Rotariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Lane in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Lane in the 37th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PoWer SC 2K5's David Rotariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elin Elin in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by PoWer SC 2K5's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leonardo Lane was slow to take the kick. During this time Zamalek FC's players had a chance to rest. Raymond Quintero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugurel Balaeț in the 42nd minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper David Rotariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonardo Lane to strike the kick off in the second half. David Rotariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Lane in the 51st minute of play. In the 57th minute Mugurel Balaeț shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Todor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hector Todor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhys Dimmock having to interfere. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zvonimir Prestin in the 70th minute of the match. Fred Kirkpatrick could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but David Rotariu made a huge save. PoWer SC 2K5's Zvonimir Prestin got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Kirkpatrick in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of David Rotariu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 81 minutes of play, PoWer SC 2K5's Kai Förster made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rhys Dimmock was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Leon Matthäus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Kirkpatrick came free, but David Rotariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
