Miguel Furtado made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Andrzej Zapolski immediately put the ball in play. When Andrzej Zapolski came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the DREAM TEAM WORLD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrzej Zapolski couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Robert Haegg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lu Zhen Sheng, 1-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Andrzej Zapolski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DREAM TEAM WORLD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrzej Zapolski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrzej Zapolski was the one to do the kick off. Andrzej Zapolski struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Xie Bang Ang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DREAM TEAM WORLD. André Luís Lessard ran back to his position shaking his head. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
