With a little luck, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Ritchie Stansfield got control of the ball when Godofredo Remigio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Ritchie Stansfield had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Godofredo Remigio. 9 minutes into the game, Godofredo Remigio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ritchie Stansfield. Godofredo Remigio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Zacarias Fero kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Olavo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Cucao in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Godofredo Remigio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Remigio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Szpakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute Pedro Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Cucao in the 34th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Olavo Henriques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Godofredo Remigio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ritchie Stansfield, 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Cucao came free, but Olavo Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Remigio got free with Ritchie Stansfield in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 61 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Richie. Racing Club's George Orwel was substituted for Godofredo Remigio. Racing Club made a substitution. After a rather tough play, Real Ayuntamiento CF's Ignacio Richie got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Cucao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Orwel in the 70th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Ritchie Stansfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Halil Can Tokuşhan to maneuver through the defense. After 95 minutes, Halil Can Tokuşhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Real Ayuntamiento CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real Ayuntamiento CF booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halil Can Tokuşhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Racing Club were victorious despite being under pressure from Real Ayuntamiento CF for much of the match.
