Horacio Matro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olavo Henriques having to make a save. 13 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Rey came free, but Olavo Henriques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club's goalkeeper Olavo Henriques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Remigio in the 19th minute of play forced R̶Ī̶И̶И̶Є̶Ǥ̶Â̶И's goalkeeper Tony Uchiha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
