James Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rhys Dimmock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Dumitru Purcărete received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rhys Dimmock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Batistuta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Lane to maneuver through the defense. King Scorpio scored 6-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rhys Dimmock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when James Batistuta came free, but Rhys Dimmock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling King Scorpio in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rhys Dimmock prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gică Busuioc in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Dimmock saved Zamalek FC from getting behind.
