Obi Wan Cannabis's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Alberto Mayol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Ranolfo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Cimas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kraig Fred's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kraig Fred in the 11th minute of play forced Obi Wan Cannabis's goalkeeper La Cimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Estudiantes de América's Flavio Iraunkor suffered a concussion in the 13th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bo Hellström during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Estudiantes de América made a substitution. Concetto Trasatti replaced Flavio Iraunkor. When Jose Manuel Castro fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Obi Wan Cannabis's protests and gave Jose Manuel Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Jose Manuel Castro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Obi Wan Cannabis's La Cimas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Obi Wan Cannabis from getting a goal against them. La Cimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kraig Fred, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Estudiantes de América were awarded a corner. Maximo Dei went to the cornerflag to take it. Prospero Gabirel was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Kraig Fred sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Cimas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kraig Fred in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Alberto Mayol to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ysmael Llanos in the 52nd minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Marcos Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Cornelio Ruisko made a precise shot to the right of La Cimas. Obi Wan Cannabis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Obi Wan Cannabis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Jerico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Estudiantes de América's Marcos Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Buitrago in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Obi Wan Cannabis's Germán Gacitúa got a free kick in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the match, Traian Blăniță had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of La Cimas. Obi Wan Cannabis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Traian Blăniță was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 70 minutes of play, Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. La Cimas was left in no man's land by his defense there! La Cimas came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Traian Blăniță. But to his dismay, Traian Blăniță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. 76 minutes into the match, Obi Wan Cannabis's goal looked a bit too open when Kraig Fred came free, but La Cimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Obi Wan Cannabis's Quentín Dittmann got a free kick in the 77th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Obi Wan Cannabis's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Trasatti came free, but La Cimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Obi Wan Cannabis's La Cimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Trasatti in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Kraig Fred notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Obi Wan Cannabis's La Cimas. La Cimas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rdth minute of the game Kraig Fred who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obi Wan Cannabis's La Cimas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. La Cimas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Blăniță, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Teodor Buitrago hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Concetto Trasatti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de América fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. When Estudiantes de América's Kraig Fred in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Estudiantes de América's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
