Abelardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Dhaussy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phillip Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Cosme in the 11th minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Donato Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phillip Glerum was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Alzamendi got free with Abelardo Maranhense in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Saco FC defense, Cássio Ferraz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phillip Glerum. The Saco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phillip Glerum should have stopped the shot. Valdo Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phillip Glerum having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Alzamendi got free with Abelardo Maranhense in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdo Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phillip Glerum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Oliveira in the 34th minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense got control of the ball when Peter-Jan De Brouwer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Alzamendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Abelardo Maranhense made a huge save. Abelardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Gipuzkoa in the 41st minute of the match. Phillip Glerum came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Olivedos's Valdo Dantas. But to his dismay, Valdo Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdo Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Peter-Jan De Brouwer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Alzamendi came free, but Abelardo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Valdo Dantas got a free kick in the 60th minute. Abelardo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Gipuzkoa in the 61st minute of play. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Alzamendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Olivedos made a substitution. Ricardinho Vianna replaced Valdo Dantas. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Saco FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Caio Pinto was slow to take the kick. During this time Olivedos's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Rubinho Chaves got a free kick in the 76th minute. Phillip Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Oliveira in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute Donato Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phillip Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Maranhense came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Saco FC's Taus Feibert. But to his dismay, Taus Feibert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Oliveira got free with Phillip Glerum in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abelardo Maranhense came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Saco FC's Peter-Jan De Brouwer. But to his dismay, Peter-Jan De Brouwer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olivedos had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
