Marian Văduvescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ezequiel Fliz's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The audience was convinced that Ezequiel Fliz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marian Văduvescu was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the game, Silvestre Pumarejo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dunamis's Vinicio Bixintxo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Elar Quero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Stere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dunamis's Elar Quero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Dunamis from getting a goal against them. Elar Quero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucian Stere in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elar Quero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Silvestre Pumarejo in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dunamis's Vinicio Bixintxo. Nicolae Barbu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Elar Quero made a huge save. Elar Quero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Stere in the 42nd minute of play. Dunamis's Elar Quero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Pumarejo in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Nicolae Barbu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marian Văduvescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Fliz in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Dunamis's Florentino Orixe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marian Văduvescu. Marian Văduvescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Dunamis made a substitution. Cyril Coulaud replaced Su Yuan Cheng. In the 84th minute of the match, Antoni Dulka tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marian Văduvescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
